For me, photos are a way to tell a story that we are unable to express in words.  They are a keepsake of memories that we get to relive over and over again because we are able to stop time for a single second.

 

I am a wife to my best friend (my "twin flame") of more than 20 years. A dog mom (I'm obsessed with animals and pets). I am a mother to two incredible little humans, who are hilarious and crazy...who also drive me crazy and then make me fall in love with them again the next second (I'm actually also still talking about my husband).  But in all seriousness, they are the light of my life and this is all for them.  I am independent and enjoy figuring things out on my own but I also love connection and learning from people and experiences.  I'm always up for an adventure, I love meeting and connecting with new people from all walks of life and turning those connections into relationships.

The connection and psychology of people and place has always been so interesting to me.  For the past 10 years I worked in Interior Design/Architecture, whether it be designing for healthcare facilities in the U.S. or Middle East, Government facilities, Embassies across the world, corporate offices, and even residences in NYC.  This past experience has been the bridge that has led me to my passion and obsession for photography.  My background in design gives me the unique edge to have strong attention to detail, lighting and composition in my photos.  And most importantly, capturing the connection and psychology of humans between each other, nature or a built environment.

I currently live in Columbia County with my family which is where I also grew up.  I haven't always lived here though, for four years I lived, went to school and worked in NYC which gave me an incredible and diverse experience.  But after four years it was definitely time for me to get out of there and come back home to where my heart is.  Kind of like that horrible Brooks and Dunn song "You can take the girl out of the honkey tonk but you can't take the honkey tonk out of the girl".  I say horrible but I still sing along to it.

 

As your photographer, it's not just about me taking the photos, it's about us establishing a lasting connection.  I promise to make our experience together fun, easy and memorable.  I look forward to getting to know you!
